School Reunion.
A general meeting in connection with the above was held on Monday evening, when, despite short notice, there was a fair attendance. The main business of the meeting was considering- the decades as submitted by the committee and these were adopted. In connection with the first decade, from 1865 to 1879. no records are available, and only a few scholars of that period are scattered throughout the district. A brigade committee was therefore appointed outside the ranks, including Messrs R. G. Varcoe (secretary), A. Stephens, D. Cahill, and L. M. Jolly. Other brigades and committees were appointed as follows: Second Brigade, 1879 to 1897. — Messis J. Stephens (secretary), G. Stumbles. Kr. Jolly, M. de Bettencor, and V. Sherwood. ,Third Brigade, 1808 to 1912. — Messrs D. C. Betts (secretary), L. Jelley, R. Bowie, and J. Hosking. Fourth Brigade, 1913 to 1922. — Misses I. Scott (secretary), Bowie, Jelley, and Mr T. Price. Fifth Brigade, 1922 to 1929. — Misses G. Varcoe (secretary), Z. Sanders, 1.. Brown, and B. SmartMiss Kwart was appointed secretary to organise the ex-teachers, and Mr ('. Smart the ex-eommitteemen. A general discussion ensued on matters relating to the function. A definite date will probably l>e fixed at next meeting. The committees have already set to work in earnest, and quite a large nu 111 her of ex-pupils are already located.
