October 9 th, as follows : ilabbitskius We hel<i our usual fortnightly sale yesterday aui offered a full catalogue to the usual attendance of buyers. Prime winters showed a slight improvement, but inferior sorts were easier. Super winter does 200 dto 211-id, Ist winter does 190 d to 200 d, 2nd winter does ISUiI to 195 d, super winter bucks 1;32d to 138 Id, 2nd winter bucks HOd to 120.1, winter bucks and docs P>7d to Had, autumn and incomings 83d to 109 d. racks to 13Jd, light racks to 32Vi. small to lid, Ist winter black Hod to lS2.\d, autumn black 50d to GBd. winter fawns to 10 Id, hareskins to <1,0.1, hj >rse hair from IGd to Itt.id per lb. Catskius Gd to Is each. Sheepskins i —The Government will hold a valuation next week. Oats :-T=Very few have been coming forward of late and the enquiry is still good. Prime milling -is 3d to Is -Id, good to best feed Is to |.s 2d per bushel, (sacks extra.) Wheat :—There ha* been very little offering of late and millers will take any lines suitable at Government rates. Fowl wheat is \n short supply and meets with a ready sale. Potatoes ■; —There is very little change iu the market since last week. The demand is confined to freshly picked lines, inferior sorts not being sought after. Prime freshly picked linos P9 10s to £lO, medium to good £7 10s to £9 per ton, (sacks m.) Chaff There has been very little coming forward of late but feeders are still holding good supplies. The demand is confined to prime oaten sheaf, medium and poor quality being dull of sale. Choice to £G 15s, medium £i 10s to £5 10s per ton, (sacks extra.) Fat Cattle :—There \va« a small yarding, U7 being penned, consisting of medio,ip to good qualify. Competition was keen throughout, and last week’s pricos were fully maintained. Extra prime bullocks £lO to £52. s*rimc bullocks £3O to £3.5, medium £2l 10s to £2B, light and unfinished £1? to £2O, prime cows and heifers £l9 to £2-1 10s, medium £IG to £l9 10s, inferior and aged £lO to £ls. Fat Sheep :—There was a small yarding, 1,005 being penned. Competition was very keep at the beginning of the sale, and last weeks prices were fully maintained. Towards the cud of the sale, however, they were a shade easier if anything. Pigs : —There was a small yarding of both fat and store pigs. Competition was keen throughout, and prices for fat pigs showed an advance of 5s to 7s Gd pei: head on last week’s rales.
