A Cough Cure Industry.

A Chat With Mr Evans. How TUSSICURA. the Great Cough Cure, is made, and why the sale is over 70,000 Bottles annually. (By a Special Reporter.) “ Arriving at o and 7 Dowling street, ray first impression was that of a well-organised hive of industry, controlled by a master hand and very soon, after a chat with Mr Evans and a thorough inspection of the entire premises, my impression was confirmed. Mr Evans, in reply to questions of mine, stated that althongh the business in New Zealand was only established a little over eight years, the present sale of Tussicura, the Great Cough Cure, was far in advance of any similar preparation, and had reached the satisfactory output of over 70,0dd bottles annually, which for this Dominion was satisfactory. On asking him the reasons for the remarkable popularity of the remedy, Mr Evans said it was undoubtedly due chiefly to its* purity and unfailing efficacy and its freedom from all narcotics and dangerous drugs, thus making it safe for even the youngest child ; other reasons being, he said, a pleasant taste and speedy and lasting effect ” Is your Great Cough Cure TUSSICURA much different in composition from other cough medicines ?” I asked. Mr Evans replied : “ Emphatically so ; and I consider the fact of my formula being off the beaten track, and entailing the use of many valuable extracts never before used in British Pharmacy, the primary reason for the great success of TUSSICURA, Evans’s Great Cough Cure. One of these extracts,” Mr Evans went on to say, “is that of a rare tropical plant, which some years ago was proved to be almost spec'fio in cases of Bronchitis, asthma, and chronic ch 'St and lung troubles, and the efficiency of TUSSICURA in radi« cally curing these more serious complaints inakd it infinitely superior to the ordinary cough preparations, which as a rule, only aim at temporary relief through the medium of opiates and narcotic poisons, and often do more harm than good.” ‘•What do analysts and the medical profession think of Tussicura the Groat Cough Cure ?” I suggested. Mr Evans said ; “It ha? recei/ed-the endorsement of purity, safety, and efficacy at the hands of the highest authorities, is recommended by doctors, nurses, and people of position everywhere and chemists in every town, both here and abroad, are testifying to the enormous demand for it ” “What do ym recommend Tuss cura the Great Cough Comp >und, for ?” “Coughs, colds, bronchitis, asthma, uasal catarrh, influenza, whooping cough, old age coughs, and all chronic chest and lung troubles, and I might mention that during the severe influenza epedenre of two years ago no remedy was more widely used or unilormly success* ful.” “ Presumably you must possess many testiraoniils?” Hundreds and hundreds, from high and low.” “Do you ev a r pay for these?” “Most c°rtainly not All these testirnonia's I possess are spontaneous letters of satisfaction and gratitude, and entirely unsolicited,” I then male my departure, thoroughly convinced t oat if ever any ar.icle justified all that was claim'd for it Evans’s TUSSICURA toe Great Cough, Ihroat and Lang Cure was that one.
