Lowburn Notes.
(From a CoiutEsroXDKXT.) The Lowburn Tennis club held a very successful opening day on Saturday, ami looks forward to an enjoyable and successful season. The annual concert, with which it is intended to open the new hall, is now under preparation and Messrs Marklund and Ilanier are taking considerable pains to make it successful The extension of the ball was much needed and will add greatly to the comfort of patrons of entertainments, etc. A piano, piano stand, stage, and two dressing rooms are now provided and the .ball committee is proving itself an enlightened and progressive body. The storm which swept the district on Thursday morning was considered by many to have been, the severest felt for many years. Luckily no damage has been done.
