Strouaulf, Morris aud Coy. report for the week ending 2nd March, as follows : Fat Cattle.—274 were yarded, consisting mainly of unfinished Btcers heifers. Bidding was dull, and inferior rolls* w re hard to quit. Best bullocks. £8 10s to £9 10s ; medium, £7 10s to £8 ; inferior, £6 10s to £7 ; best cows and heifers £6 10s to £7 5s ; medium, £5 10a to £6 ; inferior, £4 to £4 10s.
Sheep.—A large yarding, 3114 being penned, and prices were on about a par with a fortnight ago, but the market fluctuated a great deal during the sale. Best wethers, 22,s to 24s 3d ; medium, 19s Gd to 21a ; inferior, 17s to 188 3d ; hesfc ewes, 21s to 23s : medium, ISs to 19s 3d ; iuferior, 14i to 16h 3d.
Lambs.—loGS were ponued, and prices were firm. Beat lamb?, 16a 6d to 17s 9d ; medium, 15s to 15s 9d ; inferior, 13s to 14*. Pigs.—2o3 were penned, and priceß for suckers, slips, and stores were much easier Porkers were the same, and baconerc of good quality were dearer, Suckers, 6s to 10s : slips, 12s to 16s ; stores 17s 6d to 22s ; porkers, 24s to 34s ; baconers, 38s to 50s; big do. to 555. Rabbitskins. —No sale since last report.
Sheepskins.—.Fair catalogues were offered for this time of the year. Prices at home showed a slight decliue, and this allecterl the market to a certain extent: but, nevertheless, a good sa'e was experienced, and values were cjuite up to London equivalent. Merino, G-A/l to 7Ad : halfbrede, 6sd to 7id : croßsbreds, 6/jd to 74d ; pelts, 2s - 4d to 3s 3d ; lambskins, 3s to 3s 9d. Hides. —Catalogues were smaller than usual Prices were if anything slightly better. Prime stout ox to ium, 4jd to 41; d ; inferior, 4}d~to 4id : heavy cow hides, to 5d : medium weight 4d to 4id. Tallow and Fat.—No change to report. Oats. —There is good demand for all souDd lines ottering, but unfortunately there i 3 very little coming to hand. Prime milling, Is bd to Is 9d : best feed oats to la Sfi : medium, Is 6d to Is 7d : no inferior offering. Wheat.—Samples of new season's wheat are now being ottered at slightly ieduced rates. —Prime milling, 3s ud. to3s bid : medium, 3s 2d to 3s 5d ; whole fowl wheat, 'M to 3s Id : broken and damaged, 2s 6d to j2s 9d. Chall.—-The market continues Ho, be well supplied, but fortunately ihe i.jnafciry is fair in most of cases.
