Mr Jesse Herbert, a brother to the victim of the Marsterton murder, has written a letter to the Wairarapa Star , the conclusion of which is as follows :—“ It is simply cruel that this offender should go unpunished. You cannot imagine what I have suffered an account of this cruel murder; If this man escapes, what are we to expect in future ? ”
