WASTE LANDS BOARD.

The following business connected with Dunstan district was dealt with at last week's meeting of the Board : The Secretary of the Roman Catholic Church Committee, Alexandra, asked to purchase church site (half-acre) at the corner of Dunorling and Rathkeale streets. It was agreed that, on survey fees being paid, the section should be surveyed and offered at £3O per acre. It was not clear whether the chapel was upon the laud, in which case valuation for building would require to be added. The Chairman of the Vincent County Council forwarded plans for approval of a number of road-lines in deferred-payment blocks in Leaning Rock, Fraser, Lower Hawea, Lauder, Tiger Hill, Poolburn, and Tarras districts, on which the Council proposed to expend money and claimed subsidy,—Plans approved. An application which had stood over from 1878 for 14 acres of gravel reserve on block i, Tiger Hill, for the use of Vincent County, was recommended to be granted, pending survey, which had not been made as promised by the applicants.
