TAHAKOPA. FROM OUB OWN COEEESPONDENT. Kami work is moving along <|uietly. Most of the potato'crops have been dug, ami everyone speaks of good yields. The dairying season, which is drawing to a close, lias been very successful. Dr King lias ceased work at his new byre, the work being now practicallv completed. The new limber company is'busy getting its sawmill erected, while Mr Kiiewstubb is making a start to 'build the bridge over the river. Timber is on the ground for the erection of several cottages, and the locality will soon have a busy appearance. Many trucks of sawn timber depart with every train, while mining props are being «e'it away by the thousand. The Railway Department has often to send up a special train to take away the loaded trucks, as the ordinary passenger tr.iin could not pull them up .'aber'feidh Mill. McLai hlan Bios, have extended their tram-line for a considerable distance along the road in block XIV.. Rimu, to tap some fine bush on Mr Dunlop's and \l;.- Skey 's land.

I understand that the traffic bridge here over tihe Tahakopa River has been condemned for heavy traffic, and will have to be rebuilt.
