BURNSIDE STOCK MARKET. DUN ED IN, Dec. 2. At Burnside to-day 207 fat cattle were yarded. The bulk of the entry consisted of medium to good steers and heifers. Competition was dull and prices were back fully 15/- to 20/- per head compared with last week's values. Kstra prime bullocks to £l9, prime £l4 to £ls 15/-, good £l2 to £l3 5/-, light muil inferior £lO to £ll 10/-, prime cows ami heifers £ll 10/- to £l4, good £9 to £lO 10/-, light and inferior £5 10/- to £B. There was a small entry of fat sheep, only 1704 being yarded. Among this number were a - proportion of extra prime, some of them being prizetakers at the Dunedin and Waimate shows. Prices opened on a par with last week's *r»tes, but as the sale progressed they •dvaueed fully 1A per head. Extra prime wethers to 51/-, prime 28/- to 03/-, good 25/- to 27/6, light and medium 20/- to 24/-, extra prime ewes to 45/6, prime 28/- to 33/3, good 23/- to 25/-, light and medium, 18/- to 22/6. There was a fairly large yarding of fat lambs, 230 being penned. As this number proved slightly more than butchers' requirements prices receded close on 1/- per head. Prime 18/- to ill/-, good 16/- to 17/-, light and inferior 14/- to 15/-. Pigs.—s6 fat pigs and 90 stores were yarded. Prices for fats were a shade better than last week. Suckers 10/- to 12/-, slips 16/- to 18/-, stores 20/- to 30/-, porkers 37/- to 46/-, light baeoners to 53/-, heavy do. to 60/-, choppers to 76/-.
