SHEEP DOG CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING,

The annual meeting of the Clutha Sheep Dog Trial Club was held in Mr P. C. Hislop's office on Saturday night, when there were about 12 members present, Mr J. D. Landels being in the chair.

The balance-sheet, which was adopted as read, showed that the receipts amounted to £lO5 5s (id (including £2O Is Gil brought forward from previous year) and expenditure £B2 7s, leaving a credit balance of £22 18s tid. The election of office-bearers resulted as follows: —President, Mr P. Watt; vice-president, Mr D. Lindsay; secretary and treasurer, Mr P. C. Hislop; timekeepers, Messrs P. Clent and W. Dalgleish. Messrs J. Craig, Cochrane, G. Green, J. Borthwick and Houliston, junr., were added to the working committee, which otherwise is the same as last year's. It was'decided to donate the secretary the sum of £3 3s.

On the motion of Mr P. Watt it was decided that a record be placed in the minute-book of the loss the club had sustained by the death of the late vicepresident, Mr Red path Gillespie. Mr R. Morgan moved, and Mr J. Craig seconded, that the annual trials be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 21 and 22. —Carried.

The meeting then proceeded to revise the ■programme for the trials, and the following alterations were made:— Prize-money in All-comers' event to be reduced,to £B, £5, £3, £2, £1 and Local event reduced to £3, £2 and £l, while a huntaway class is to be added with prizes £3, £2 and £l. Special prizes were offered by Messrs R. Houliston (for competitor gaining most points at the trials), Mr -D. Morgan (£1 Is for best local huntaway dog), and Mr A. Houliston, junr. (prize for youngest competitor at trials). The president, vice-president and Messrs D. Morgan and R. Houliston were appointed a ground committee.
