A COOL YOUTH.
There are more ways than one of entering your home if you have not a latchkey. A group of people on Parra-natta-road, Camperdown, watched with ilarm what they . thought was a burglarious attempt to enter a dwellingnouse by the window on the top floor. A man climbed up by the aid of a piping which ran down on the corner >f the house, from the top to the bottom. When he arrived at the window, without hesitation, he hit it with his iibow, and smashed the glass out. Then climbed through. The alarmed spectators ruhsed for the Camperdown police, and a constable arrived at the jiouse. After considerable eifort he .ucceeded in awakening the inmates, ;nd told them about the entry of the supposed burglar. The party went into .he top room, and there, asleep in bed, .hey saw a youth of about 17. When iie was awakened, and asked where was the burglar who broke the window he just mumbled, "I was late. I did ■tot want to disturb the house, so I just climbed up, broke the window, and got into bed." His words ended in ■sleepy sound; and a dumbfounded policeman and two complacent parents retired from the scene.
