There were a large number of local applicants for the three Loehindorb runs opened for selection in Dunedin this week. The ballot was held yesterday morning, but none of the sections fell to local men. Run No. .316—H210 acres; half-yearly rental, £80; valuation for improvements, £3B K's; 147 applicants.—Emma R. Harris (Central Otago), successful. Run No. 517 —2500 acres, half-yearly rental, £SO; valuation for improvements, £126 6s; 90 applicants.—Geo. S. Walker (Lawrence), successful. Run No. \)1H —2590 acres; half-yearly rental, £SO; valuation for improvements, nil; 98 applicants.—Thos. W. McKenzie (Gore), successful.
