THANKS.
* (To the Editor.)
Sir,— Kindly allow me, in the name of the committee of Management of the Balclutha Presbyterian Church, to thank those who helped to make our bazaar of last week as successful as it was. I cannot, of course, go into details, but I would like to refer specially to the ladies of the 'Sewing Guild, to our gentlemen workers, to Mrs Grigor and the members of her royal court, to Miss Murray and her children, to the bandsmen of the Balclutha Brass Band, and to the Pipe Band of Kaitangata, to those in charge of the. different stalls, and of the Christmas Tree, and of the tea rooms, and of the shooting gallery, and of tho weight-guessing competitions, and of the "Museum. I wishto thank also the donors of special prizes, and more especially the workers and donors outside our own church. The bazaar, perhaps, might have been more successful, but it might easily have been less ■o, and for our very, considerable mea«uw of success I'" again, on. behalf of
bur Church Committee, most heartily thank our workers, and donors, and the public generally. Some of these donors have been very generous and some of our workers exceptionally enorgotic, but to name them here might seem to throw other Honors and other workers too much into the shade. Tbo services of the Mayor ' in opening the Bazaar, and, as a licensed auctioneer, in selling prod.ee and other things, were, of course, greatly appreciated. —■ I am, etc. S. W. CURRIE.
