-I he annual examinations (practical) of the Balclutha centre were hold in St. Mark's Hall on Tuesday, 30th 'November. Mr Henry Saint-George, of London, was the examiner, and the
following are the results:— Preparatory Division.—-Eileen M, Moloney, 84,
Junior Division.—Minnio M. Martin 09 ; Dorothy F. Paterson, 60; lUliel 1. lngpen, 64; Andrina C. Lawrence, 63.
Intermediate ■ Division.—Beryl Steven, 78 ; Elizabeth C. Paterson, 70 ; B. 14. Morrison, 64 ; Doris L. MacFarlanC, 62 ; Sophia M. A. Appleby, 61 ; N. M. Styles, 00. senior Division.—Mabel M. Townsend, 66.
Ihe candidates, with the exception of B. M. Morrison (Mr A. Frazcr) were pupils of Mrs P. H. Martin, Clinton.
ihe results are very satisfactory, and Mrs Martin is to be congratulated on the ellicieney shown by'her pupils. \
Little Minnie Martin (who with Miss Dorothy Paterson) obtained the highest marks in her division, is only 8 years and 11 months old.
