ROUNDER MATCH.
Oil Saturday last a team of rounder girls journeyed from Stirling to Balclutha to play a return match aUainst a iocal team, and were defeated by ( J2 points to (J!), thus giving fhu local girls a win of 23 points, 'the teams were as follows Bal-elutha-E. Bishop, K. J)allas, M. Dallas, E. Fleming (eapt.i, M. Johnston, B. I.atta, M. Malcolm, E. Maker._ 1). Mackay, A. Watt, Jl. Watt, Stirling—Al. Burnett, M. Anderson, V. Anderson, J. Corston, E. liarrauay, C. King, E. MoKissoek, 1). Parker, A. Smith, B. Smith, Aline hillocks, Alydtli Willoeks. At the conclusion of the match the ISalclutha girls supplied alternoon tea, which was greatly appreciated by both sides. As it watf only about ,'i o'clock, sides were Ciiosen. and a friendly game was, played, some of the players showing much better form than in the match"! Other games were indulged in' and at 1.15 the ground was deserted, and all were on their way to the. ■station. As the train moved out, three cheers were given by the Balclutha girls, and three of efpial strength were returned. The visitors expressed themselves as having thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Miss Murray, of the local school teaching stall, made a very ediciont scorer.
