The delegates subsequently reported the counter proposals to the eonl'er(nee. which endorsed them, and Mr Wade is now considering them. A ma.ss meeting of strikers at Newcastle expressed full confidence, in tlie strike congress sitting in Sydney. •Mr Bowling, in a speech, said that if the (lovernment did not soon step in and force the proprietors to give justice to the miners, something would be brought, about that would -je an example to the capitalists in this country anil in the rest of the world.
