BOWLING.
' With the lengthening evenings, lovers of bowls are availing themselves of the I opportunity of indulging in this favourite pastime. The green is in very fair playing order, and will still improve as the weather gets finer. There I has been an increased membership, aiDout 16 now members having been enrolled. The windmill, which has just been erected, will greatly facilitate the watering of the green. A meeting will jbe held shortly' to arrange matches, I tournaments, etc t i The Milton Bowling' Club opened j their green on Wednesday afternoon. Two rinks put in an appearance, and sides were chosen, President; v. VicePresident. The green was in excellent order, and a very enjoyable afternoon was spent. The game resulted in a I win for the Vice-president. The PresiI dent (Mr M. Henderson) congratulated the bowlers pn having such, a capital green to commence the season with. , He also thanked tliera for the honour [.-they had conferred upon him by electI ing him president, and promised to do all he could to forward the Club's ininterests. 'The bowlers, in the usual way. declared him to be "A jolly good fellow."
