Lord Roberts highly complimented the Canadians, whose dashing action was mainly instrumental in the surrender of General Cronje. , ;
General French's cavalry, consisting of the New South Wales Lancers, the Queenslanders, and the New Zealanders, actively patrolled T the country to prevent General Cronje's escape.
