INCH CLUTHA RIVER AND ROAD BOARD.

The above Board met on Friday, the 23rd inst. There were present — Messrs Smith (chairman), Mosley, Harvey, M'Donald, and Dallas.

Mr G. Logic complained about cattle straying on the flood-bank on which he is at present employed.— Mr M'Lean to try and arrange with the owner of cattle about their removal in the meantime.

Mr E. Ford waited on the Board in regard to getting road-line to his place formed. He explained that the dwellers on this road had paid rates for a number of years, and nothing had been done to the road, which got in a very bad state in winter. Mr Ford was willing to give assistance if the Board would do something in the matter. — After discussion Mr Harvey moved—" That a man with team of horses be employed to plough in road ; surfaceman to attend and get it rounded oft." — Seconded by Mr Mosley, and carried. Mr Mosley gave notice that at next meeting of the Board he would move ■— " That the

Inch Clutha Board be dissolved and that the Road and River district merged into the Bruce County Council."
