DUNEDIN PRODUCE REPORT.

Donald Reid and Co. report that prices ruled as under at their auction sale on Monday :—

Oats.— We submitted a catalogue of B and C grade oats, suitable for local requirements. Competition was not animated, but those lots which found buyers were quitted at prices on a par with late quotations. We have some injury for A grade, of which there are few offering at present. We quote: Prime milling Is 4sd to Is 5Jd, good to best feed Is 3Jd to Is 4d, medium Is Id to Is 3d per bushe. (sacks extra). Wheat.— The market is somewhat brisker, owing to there being a little demand for ship ment. Prices, however, show no material improvement, except for extra-choice lines. We offered several lots of fowl wheat, for which there was weak competition. We quote : Prime milling 2s 3d to 2s Gd. medium 2s to 2s 2d whole fowl wheat Is lOd to 2s, broken and damaged Is Gd to Is 9d per bushel (sacks in).

Potatoes.— There are still considerable stocks on hand, and prices show no advance on late quotations. We quote: Prime Derwents 27s Gd to 30s, others to 25s per ton (sacks in), j Chaff.— The demand is almost confined to prime oaten sheaf, medium quality being almost neglected and extremely difficult to quit. We quote : Best oaten sheaf L2ssto L 2 7s Gd, extra-heavy L 2 10a, good L 2 to L 2 2s Gd, medium to light Ll 10a to Ll 17s Gd per ton (bags extra).

Rabbitskins.— Competition very keen, and prices firm at quotations : — 18d to 21d per lb for autumns and incomings, summers from l'2d to 15d, and small from 5d to 8d per lb winters 22d to 23d, and from 24d to 26d for prime selected per lb. Sheepskins.— Recent London cables advising an upward move in this market have doubtless been the means of hardening the. local auctions. Green crossbreds brought from 2s 9d to 4s, dry country do 2g 4d to ss, do merinos 2s Gd to 5s 3d, lambs 2s to 3s 2d. Butter. -Fresh 7d to 9d, prime salt Gd to 7Jd, factory 9d. Bacon.— Roll 7d to 7Ad, hams Bd. Pigs.— 4£d. Cheese.— Factory 4d to 4£d, farmers' 3M to 4d.

Poultry.— Hens 2s to 2s Gd, pullets wanted, roosters 2s 9d to 3s 6d, ducks 3s to 4s. Turkeys : Hens sd, cocks 7d to Bd.
