BURNSIDE STOCK SALES.
Fat Cattle.— 2s4 head yarded. Owing to the large entry, the demand was very dull, prime cattle being fully 20s per head lower than last week, while other sorts were almost unsaleable. Best bullocks sold at L7to L 9 10s, medium L 5 to L 6 17s 6d, best cows and heifers L 5 5s to L 7 10s ; medium L 3 15s to L 5, aged and inferior LI 10s to L 3 7s 6d. Fat Sheep.— 2666 penned. There was a good demand for prime wethers, but other sorts were slightly easier. Best crossbred wethers sold at 16s to 18s, medium 14s to 15s 9d, best crossbred ewes 14s to 16s, a few extra prime 20s, medium 12s 6d to 18s 9d. Fat Lambs.— 964 penned. There was a steady demand for all sorts, but prices showed ft decline of about Is a head on last week's rates. Best lambs sold at 12s 6J to 14s 6d, medium to good 10s 6d to 12s 3d.
Pigs.— 2so forward, all meeting with good demand. Suckers sold at 8s 6d to 15s, slips 16s 6d to 20s 6d, stores 22a 6d to 30s 6d, porkers 32s to 465, baconers 49s to 60s, heavy pigs to 655.
