Shield Matches. Milton v. Xiovells Flat. — In this match the scoring was very small — Milton 29, Lovells Flat 34; leaving Lovells Flat winners by 5 runs. Geo. Hall (8) and J. Lilburne (7) were top for the winners, and T. M'Gill (8 not out) and Watters (5) for the losers. Clinton v. Kaihiku. — The wicket was very wet and slow, although the weather was fine. Ciinton went in first and put up 60 (Cooper 19 and W. Thomson 10). Kaihiku made 56 — 4 behind their opponents. For Kaihiku, Espie took 5 wickets for 32, and Watt 4 for 16. Ritchie took 4 for 22, and M'Namara 6 for 29 for Clinton. Balclutha v. Waiwera. — This match which was postponed from last Saturday will take place on the show ground here to-morrow. The following represent Clutha: Bishop, Harvey, Austin, Valentine, Simpson, Tyson, W. Finn, Gow, O'Connell, Storrey, and Sievwright ; emergencies : E. Grigor and J. Guest. Play to commence at 1.30.
