TAHATIKA.

A very enjoyable concert and dance wore held at Tahatika on Friday, the 12th inst., when the following very good programme was submitted to tho audience : — Pianoforte duet, "Fairy barque," Miss Flamank and Mr A. Bradfield ; song, " Davy Jones," Mr Wilson ; humorous reading, Mr Brown ; song, " Far away," Mrs M'Lcan (encored) ; song, " Thy face," Mr Wright; vocal duet, " Oh, would that my love," Miss Flamank and Mr Wilson ; song, " Ora pro nobiu," Mr Jackman (encored) ; song, " The bugler," Mr M'Latchie ; piano solo, " Boonie woods of Craigie Lea," Miss Lees ; pianoforte duet, " Punch and Judy Quadrilles," Miss B. Lees and Miss E. Flamank; song, " Castles in the air," Miss Duncan (encore) : dialogue, Miss E. Flamank and Mr J. Thomson; song, "The dying stockman," Mr Wright; recitation, " Shamus O'Brien," Mr Brown ; song, " The broken pitcher," Miss Flamank (encored) ; duet, "The pilot brave," Messrs Wilson and M'Latchie; song, "The last muster," Mr Jackman (encored) ; dialogue, " Messrs Wilson, Bradfield, Friend, Gf. M'Latchie, and J. Thomson; piano solo, "Hodden," Miss E. Duncan. The accompanists were Misses Jackman, Lees, Duncan, Flamank, and E. Flamank. Mr Bradfield, who was chairman, proposed a hearty Vote of thanks to the per- : formers, some of whom had come some distance to help. After a vote of thanks to the chairman for presiding, an adjournment was made to the shed, where some dancing was indulged in. The roads arc now in splendid order. People say p. few showers would be very acceptable.
