CLUTHA FOOTBALL CLUB.

The annual meeting of the above club was held here on Wednesday evening. There was a very large attendance of members and intending members, Mr D. T. Fleming being voted to the chair. "i|

The secretary, Mr Bett, read .the report and balance sheet, showing that the credit balance of the club was L 3 16s lOd, and that the first fifteen had, during the matches of the-season, placed 65 points to their credit — only 14 having been scored against them, the second fifteen scored 43 points, with 11 against.

. The election of officebearers resulted as follows ; — President : Mr T. Mackenzie ; vicepresidents : Messrs J. A. Valentine, Geo. Lousley, D. T. Fleming, A. Christie, and M. Coghlan ; secretary and treasurer : Mr F. Tyson ; general committee : Messrs J. Simpson, D. G. Algie, P. S. Bett, and C. Finn ; match committee : Messrs J. Simpson, D. G. Algie, arid captain ; delegate to 0.R.F.U. ; Mr T. Mackenzie. It was decided to leave over the election of captain and deputy-captain till after the opening practice. The opening matchwas fixed president v. vice-presidents to be played on Saturday, March 31. . A vote of thanks to the chair closed the meeting.
