Napoleon, out of Nancy; Nancy took first prize at Dunedin as a three-year-old; Nancy, out of Jean, by the celebrated imported horse Champion ; Jean, imported by the late Mr Nesbit, to Tasmania, where she never -was beaten. Jean was shown, as a two-year-old, at the Highland Society's Show, Edinburgh, where she took first prize against all comers. Jean, out of Nancy j jtfancy' bred by J. Findlay, Esq., Easter Hill, Baileston, near Glasgow, and shown by him at Kelso, Stirling, and Edinburgh, at which places she took first pmes, and first for the best mare wherever exhibited, never being beaten. . Young Napoleon, by the celebrated horse Emperor, bred by the late Mr Nimmo, West Taieri, who has proved himself one of the best horses in Otago, both as a first-class getter of stock, and prize-taker wherever exhibited, thus, showing Young Napoleon to come from the best strain of blood in the Colonies.
