LABOR MARKET.
A considerable number of engagements were effected at the immigration barracks, Dunedin, last week, the whole of the single girls per the ship Wennington being employed at from £20 to £30 per annum. Farm laborere received from £50 t» £55, and a martial couple-entered into an engagement at £70 a .year. About seventy adults yet remain in the barracks.
