Horses.— The. sale at tlie yards on Saturday consisted mainly of dealers' lots. Quotations :—Firstclass draught £05 to £7fi ; medium do, £40 to £50 ; U>ht do, £25 to £30 ; good hacks and light harness horses. £--'5 to £30 ; medium do, £14 to £20; light and inferior, £5 to £7. Stoke Siikkp.— Wright, Stephenson, and Co. have buyers for young sheep, both merino and crossbreds They quote cross-breds, 4 tooth, lis to 12a Gd • 2 tooth, 10s ; merino wethers, 2, 4, and 0 tooth, 7s •' do ewes, do, 7s Od to 8s ; do do full-mouthed, as | Gdto43Gd. At foregoing rates, they sold during the week OftOO cross-breds and merinos. Maclean Bros report -.-The demand for young sheep of all I classes still continues very much in excess ot the BUDDIv-ncarly all the lots in the market being 3 sheep. \Ve have sold during the week 3^o nFrvTs-brcds ana merinos at market rates. We quote 2, 4, and 0 tooth merino ewes, Ss to 9s ; lullmouthed do, 4s 0d to 5s ; 2, 4, and G tooth merino Wetherß . Gs i 6d to 7s ; full-monthed do, 5s to 5s Od ; H and 0 tooth cross-bred ewes. 10s 6d to I s ; 2 tooth cross-bred wethers, 0s Od to 10s ; 4 tooth do, 12s • ?ambs, 7s to Bs. H. Driver sold during the week 7500 at following rates : - Cross-breds, 4 and 0 tooth at lis to 128 «d ; do, 2 tooth, 0s cd to Us ; do lambs 7s to Ss ; merinos ewes, 2, 4, and 6 tooth 8s Od toIOB ; do fuU-mouted, 4s Od to 5s (id; do wethers, 2 4, and 0 tooth, 7s 0d to Us ; do do, full-mouthed 5s Od. Fat Lambs— loo were penned, which brought from 78 Od to lis. Stoub Cattle continue in good demand at from £5 lOS to £-i l"s for bullocks, and from £4 10s to £5 ICs for cows ; mixed herds, 5Js to 70s. Maclean Bros sold several small lots during the week at above rates. 11. Driver sold 100 head in small lots. Fat Sitef.v continue firm. 1100 of all sorts were cenned. We sold 100 prime half-breds at ISs 3d each, and :(0J merinos at 1 Is; Wright btephenson, and Co. quote prime quality cross-breds at f 4 d per lb ;do merinos, 2*d. l'rivately they sold, tor forward delivery, 12 0 head. Maclean Bros, sold 200 at from 16s to lbs for prime cross-breds and from 8s "d to 1 1 s for merinos. They also so Id privately 2400 at full ratos. 11. Driver sold 700 at figures equal to 3}d lor cross-breds, and 2jd for merinos. Fat Cai.vks.-30 were penned. Wright, Stephenson, and Co. sold 22 at from 22s fad to o.is each. Macleau Bros, sold a few at *us to 455. Fat Cattlb —130 head were yarded, and this being scarcely suilicient for trade requirements, Tjrices had a slightly upward tendency. AVright, itephenson, and Co. sold 30 head at from £7 to £10 10s Yor bullocks, equal to 20s per lOOlbs ior good quality, and 23s for middling do. Privately, they cold 232 head for forward delivery. Maclean Bros sold 34 which lealised up to £10 for bullocks, and £8 for cows H D. iver sold ol head, and placed 150 private"? at, best bullocks, £9 10s to £11 10* i; do cows. It i los to £8 lus, or equal to 27s Od per lOOlbs for prime quality ; at 2^s Od to 25s for medium.
