DUNEDIN SALE YARDS.

Mesßrs Wright, Stephenson, and Cq. report for the week ending 20th February as iollows :— Fat Cattle.— We Bold 96 head. Bullocks brought trom £7s 2s 6d to £ll 17s 6d ; cowb, from £6 los to £9 58 ; prices equal to 25s per 1001 b for good quality, and 22s for medium do $40 head were yarded. Fat Calves.— l 6 were yarded, which were sold at from 25s to 80s each. Fat Sheep— sso were penned, whioh being inadequate to the demand, prices were a little firmer. We sold 100 cross-breds. prime quality and heavy weights, at 16s Ud, and 100 merino wethers, medium qualitjr, at Bs. We quote prime hall'-breds, 2fd per lb; merino do, 2Jd. „„ n * Fat Lambs.— 2oo were penned. We sold 60 at from 8s to Us each. Store Cattle.— We have inquiries for grown cattle, but few are offering. Our sales included 120 head young cattle, 18 to 21 months old, at 50s each. We quote bullocks, four to five years old, £5 10s to £6 ; spayed cows, £4 to £4 5s ; mixed lots, £3. Store Sheep. — Younsr merinos and cross-breds Are in good demand. We quote cross-breds, fourtooth, 12s ; two- tooth, 9s 6d to 10s 6d ; lambs, 7s 6d to8s; merino wethers, fall- mouthed, 5s 6d to 6s ; two, four, and six-tooth, 7s to 7s fid -, merino ewes, two and four-tooth, 8s to 9s ; full-mouthed, 3s 6d to ss, according to quality. At above rates we have •old during the week 13,000, and have several large transactions pending. Horses. — Our market has for some time been bare of imported draught stock, for which there is a fair demand. Ot our yards, on Saturday, we sold three drafts of light provincial-bred colts at Irom £9 10s to £33 per bead. We shaU offer at our yard, on Saturday, 27th February, 45 very superior heavy draught mares and geldings, ex Omeo, from Melbourne. We quote first-class draughts £05 to £75 ; medium do, £45 to £55 ; tight do. £•» to £30 ; good hacks and light harness horses, £25 to £35 ; medium £14 to £18 ; light and interior, £5 to £-*. Sheepskins.— At our weekly sale on Wednesday, vre disposed of about 180J skins as follow :—FullwooUed skins, merinos, 4s 6d to 6s 2d - pelts, 9d to 21d ; lamb-skins, 2s 2d.
