IMrARQUIS was bred by Mr M'Pherson near Melbourne, and is now risiog 8 years ; Sire, the celebrated imported horse Prince Charlie. Dam, Blossom, the winner of fifteen prizes, Blossom by Black Champion, imported ; Blossom's Dam by Old Clyde, proving Marquis to be of the best blood in the Colonies. Marquis gained when two years old first prize at Bacchus Marsh and Melton, and second in Melbourne, and when three years eld, the Grand National Prize of LlO at Knyeton against all comers. He is a bright bay, stands nearly 1 7 hands high, has splendid legs, is a sure foal getter and gets them good, some of .his progeny having already been sold at high prices in Victoria.
