The Clutha Leader. THURSDAY, NOV 19, 1874.
In consequence of the liberal advantage taken by Advertisers of the very exten.ive and valuable publicity now afforded by this Journal, our leading article — besides several columns of original matter — is crowded out. Looking* at this position of matters merely from a commercial point of view, it is to us equally gratifying* and encouraging. At the same time we are well aware that from the cause mentioned, we have of late been unable to supply our readers with the extent of reading* matter which they might fairly have expected. It is due to ourselves to mention that upwards of a month ago we ordered tho necessary additional plant to enable us to enlarge the paper, and thus afford more space both for advertisements and general news. This plant only arrived last night, and we now have pleasure in announcing that next week the Clutha Leader will be enlarged to eight. JP ar l es of sevenjeghiinns each — in all Fifty-six ■Columns — the""largest up-country Newspaper published in New Zealand.
