Bush island
The United States President, Mr Bush, has a place in history. Now he’s on the map. A small island near his holiday home has been named in his honour. President Bush Island, four uninhabited acres of ledge, rocks and woods, is along a route often travelled by Mr Bush when he is boating and fishing during his holidays in Maine. Formerly Green Island, it was renamed by a couple who have known the Bush family for years. “My father and his grandfather were good friends,” said Elizabeth Milligan, whose family has owned the island for 35 years—NZPA- ‘ AP.
