Bowls to Chch A
The Christchurch A team won the zone three women’s bowls tournament which ended at the Linwood club greens yesterday. Christchurch A finished with 28 points to head off Christchurch B (20), Marlborough and Nelson (both 14), Buller (10), and West Coast (6). Making up the successful team were the four of Lex Kimber (skip), Denise Page, Margaret Lloyd and Elsie Williams, the single of Marie Watson and the pair of Daphne Young and Dawn Petley. The two South Island zone winners and the two North Island winners will meet later at a venue and date yet to be decided.
