BURGLARIES A teen-age girl disturbed a burglar at her Garreg Street Road, Fendalton, home at about 10.30 a.m. on November 29. He is described as Maori, aged 18 to 20, 178 to 180 cm (sft lOin to sft Ilin tall), solid build, with a round face, short curly black hair, clean shaven, tidy appearance, and wearing a green canvas-type windcheater jacket gathered at the bottom, and black jeans. A man was disturbed in the kitchen of a Reeves Road, Opawa, house at 4.15 a.m. on December 2. He ran off. He is described as Maori, 183 cm (6ft) tall, with black frizzy curly hair to the collar, and wearing a two-tone blue-and-white jacket and blue jeans. ROBBERIES Car parts and tools were

They included a GMC 671 Supercharger, GMC 471 Supercharger, GMC 371 Supercharger, Offenhauser small block Chev ram manifold, 1926 Stutz 8 cyl. inlet manifold, “Fat Jack” Weber manifold, Weiand blower carb adaptor plates, B & M blower gauge, Holden 6 cyl. finned alloy valve cover, Weber carb linkage set, clamps, milling cutters, Mitutoyo dial calipers, Mig welder 250 amp orange colour, Comet 2 model gas welding torch, cables and gauges, B & D power tools, Hitachi power tools, “Sears" Pensky engine analyser, 5 tonne red car trolley jack, wrenches, socket sets, 1 tonne endless chain hoist, etc. A “Risingstar” computerised twin tape deck, Pioneer

stereo system, Olympus camera and zoom lens were stolen from Wayne Timms Motor Court, Waltham, overnight on November 27. More than $17,000 worth of property, including bath and beach towels, curtains and cushions, was stolen from The Warehouse, Main North Road, on November 28. WOMAN ACCOSTED A young woman was walking through an alleyway between Gloucester Street and Cathedral Square near the Savoy Theatre when she was accosted by a hooded man on November 30, at 7.30 a.m. He bit her and tore her clothing. She broke away and went for help. The offender was 178 cm (sft lOin) tall, and wore blue jeans, nylon wind jacket, and balaclava with two eye holes.

DAMAGE AT SCHOOL Windows were smashed, paint sprayed on gym walls, trees damaged and trailers pushed into a creek at Burnside High School during the week-end of November 25 ; 27.
