Addington market Cattle prices ease
Prices for most store cattle eased at the Addington market yesterday. A drop in the local trade schedules, drier weather, and a drop in the quality of cattle offered all combined to bring prices down. Yearling steers fared better than heifers, with values up to $lO back on recent sales. Heifer prices dropped by $2O to $3O. Top yearling steers sold to $530 with medium steers at $430 to $4BO and small steers selling at $350 to $4OO. Only exceptional yearling heifers made more than $4OO, with most making $320 to $350 and some smaller heifers at $250 to $290.
Only a small selection of adult cattle came forward, top two-year steers making $778. Sales included.—
