Inmates on run
No sightings have been made of two Christchurch prison escapers, one of whom is into his third week on the run. Christopher Alexis Keriona, aged 38, sawed through bars of a cell while on remand at Addington Prison on October 3. He is facing six burglary charges. The other inmate on the loose, Leearna Niven, aged 22, did not return to Christchurch Women’s Prison last Thursday after attending an Access course at Christchurch Polytechnic. Keriona escaped with Dean Mark Barnsley, who was recaptured in a Richmond house after a week of freedom.
