Accident reports
The Department of Labour factory inspectorate investigated 873 accidents in the year to March 31, 30 of them fatal, the department’s annual report shows. The report, tabled in Parliament yesterday, shows half those accidents occurred on farms,, 11 involving tractors. The department’s bush inspectorate investigated 165 accidents, including 11 fatalities and the construction safety inspectorate 1029 accidents including 13 fatalities. — PA
