Hospital chapel
Sir,— On September 2 “The Press” reported that the City Council was in breach of natural justice in its move to prevent the building of the high-rise Gloucester Towers. Surely the same judgment could be applied to the Minister of the Environment regarding the hospital chapel. The plans made by the Area Health Board in consultation with the Christchurch Hospital Nurses’ Association to relocate the interior of the chapel were completed. These had been made sensitively by people who loved - the chapel, had used it and given money for the project. At this late hour, when plans were completed, reclassifying the Nurses’ Memorial Chapel surely is “in breach of natural justice.” — Yours, etc., JEAN C. WILLIAMS. September 6, 1989. ‘
