Telecom
Sir,—Telecom has been very silent about its promise to restructure the $4O charges for reconnecting the telephone service. A few months ago I brought up the same issue. A year ago I was told of the proposed changes but, to date, there have been none. There are six flats in the building I am in: I have seen 11 movements in a year. During this short period Telecom has earned $440, and an unknown huge amount, taking into consideration the multiplier effect. Telecom is earning heaps from these charges. I hope Telecom will stop giving excuses and do something concrete about them immediately. — Yours, etc.,
STEWART L. CHONG. September 5, 1989.
