Manson doing well

The Christchurch heart and lung patient, Mr Roger Manson, is walking further and becoming fitter each day, belying recent media reports that he was. back in intensive care. Mrs Rae Manson said her husband had spent a day in London’s Harefield Hospital last week receiving standard blood transfusions. He was disturbed to hear reports of his readmittance, she said. "He’s feeling pretty good, but he’s still struggling along to get to fit-

ness and get over the recent hiccups,” Mrs Manson said, referring to a severe organ rejection Mr Manson suffered five weeks ago. Mr Manson returned to hospital for twice-weekly tests, but was looking forward to becoming well enough to return to New Zealand, she said. Last evening they were preparing to participate in the hospitals’ annual jog for transplant patients. Mr Manson was to take part in the event in a wheelchair.
