Arrest after stabbing
PA Wellington A man was arrested on Saturday and charged with murder in the stabbing death of Grant David Sheenan. Mr Sheenan, aged 31, was stabbed in the stomach about 1 a.m. on Friday in a Lower Hutt street after he, his wife and a friend got into a dispute.
He died five hours later in hospital while undergoing surgery. The police recovered several knives but could not confirm if one of them was the weapon used. A 36-year old man will appear in the District Court at Lower Hutt this morning.
