Extraordinary meeting
National Australia Bank has given notice of an extraordinary meeting to approve a change in its dividend plan so that shareholders in Britain can receive dividends from a subsidiary of the bank there. Britain’s imputation scheme was similar to Australia’s but British shareholders could not benefit from franked dividends, an NAB spokesman said. The extraordinary meeting will be held on September 21 in Melbourne.
