Soccer Dunedin in semis
A Nick . Brooks header earned Dunedin City a 1-0 win over Southland United in Dunedin oh Saturday to qualify it for the'semi-finals of the Hertz Cup soccer competition. Southland is now without a competition match .until October 7 when it will meet. New Brighton in the first leg of a play-off to see which team is promoted to the southern league first division- next year. In: the other, match'played at the ’week-end South Canterbury edged out Roslyn Wakari, 3-2. 1 J - . It will meet Dunedin City
at home in the semi-finals. The remaining quarter-finals are: New Brighton v. Technical; Christchurch United v. Shamrock. Meanwhile, seven Canterbury players have been named in the southern regional representative under--18 team.
