Cocaine supply halts
NZPA-Reuter Washington Colombia’s all-out war on drug traffickers has virtually halted the flow of cocaine into the United States, at least temporarily, a senior Customs agent said on Tuesday. Ken Ingleby, special agent in charge of the
Customs office in San Diego, California, said the supply had been disrupted “almost totally in the last 10 days.” “I think as long as the Colombian Government stays with the tactics they’re employing now, they will have a signifi-
cant impact on the traffickers,” he said. NBC News reported earlier that wholesale cocaine prices paid by dealers had almost doubled as a result of the Colombian push against the cocaine cartel kingpins.
