Vincent for Linwood
Andrew Vincent, the Canterbury rugby league centre, has applied for a transfer from Papanui to play for Linwood next seaon. It is the second consecutive year that Vincent has sought to leave Papanui. He attempted to link up with Addington last autumn, but was required under the terms of the “rookie” contract he had with North Sydney in 1988 to stay with Papanui. Vincent now reverts to the Canterbury Rugby League transfer scale of fees as a provincial representative. In company with another former Junior Kiwi, Carl Hall, Vincent has left for England to spend the northern winter at a second division club, Doncaster.
