Woman dies in blaze
A woman, aged 75, died when her Taradale, Napier, home was gutted by fire on Monday, police said. The Hawke’s Bay fire service was called to the house shortly before 9 a.m. and found the building well alight. The woman, who lived alone, was found lying beside her bed. Her name has not yet been released. — PA.
