Purdon loses battle
Owen Purdon has lost his battle to have Race Ruler at a satisfactory fitness level for the second night of the N.Z. Metropolitan Trotting Club’s meeting at Addington on Saturday. “We had to stop treating him for the lung infection on Saturday to be allowed to race him this week, which only gave us five days of treatment. We tested him again today, but he hasn’t improved enough for us to race this week,”' said Purdon.
The former top two and three-year-old will return to Clevedon to prepare for racing at the Auckland Trotting Club’s September meeting.
