Galactic Notice could continue winning form

Galactic Notice, the No. 2 in the Mosgiel team of John Wilson, should continue on her winning way with the non-appearance of her well-performed kennelmate, Crafty Tiree, in the Capital City Stakes, the second leg of the T.A.B. double at the Wellington Greyhound Racing Club’s meeting today. A “24-hour flu-type” virus which swept through some of the kennels around the country meant that Galactic Notice had only three rivals when she won at Hutt Park last Thursday. However, the majority of the dogs affected have recovered quickly and the daughter of Advance Notice will have stronger opposition today. First Melody would be one of the better railers in the business, and she should be in touch with the pace throughout from the “rails” box. Strong finishing runs can be expected from Tri Kita, Shiny Band and the brilliant Steiny Blue, but Galactic Notice’s early speed from the box should see her triumph at Hutt Park.
