Squash win to Allred

Michael Allred overcame a higher-ranked Canterbury squash team-mate, Paul Viggers, for a fine win in the Burnside Open yesterday. Allred won in straight games, 9-4, 9-2, 9-6 while another Canterbury representative, Rod Hayes, the tournament’s top seed, had to be content with fourth place.
