PA Blenheim The Marlborough representative rugby side kept the Seddon Shield safe for another season with a resounding 58-10 victory over West Coast at Landsdowne Park on Saturday. Marlborough scored 11 tries to one on its way to defending the shield for the sixteenth consecutive time since regaining it against Buller at Westport in 1984. Top performances for
Marlborough came from the left winger, Ifalemi Malafu, and the Maori All Black lock, Lenny Mason. They were rewarded with two tries each in the second spell.
