Restaurant robbed
Two gunmen held up the Escargot Restaurant in Auckland on Saturday and escaped with $4OO. The police said the robbers wore motor-cycle helmets as they crashed through the front door brandishing pistols. They grabbed the money and credit card receipts and stuffed them in a blue rucksack before fleeing in an old model Japanese car. The police said both gunmen were Maori. One wore a blue helmet, scarf and jeans and the other a red helmet, jeans and a check shirt.—PA.
